6.8 v10 or 2017 6.2 v8

hi guys
hope everyone's doing ok , i know you V10 owners really love those v10s and so do i but i wanted to share what we have been working on last/this week . The 2017 SD 62 is putting more hp / tq to wheel than the gen 1 2011-2016 models 6.2L. It was cool to see above 350 tq to wheel which is more than we put to wheel on the 3v v10s in past. Anyways wanted to share the technology advances Ford has made on the gas SD. Good Job Ford
take care and thanks for all your support
mike

I love information and measurements and engines and etc. but comparing a $45,000+ 2017 truck to our old V10's is like comparing the moon to Saturn.

Anyway everyone here raves about your tuner products. I respect your work.

If Ford would throw all of the tech that went in the 5.0 Coyote into the V10 it would probably make 500 HP.

I read somewhere that Ford spent a lot of that money when it was developing the 5.0 for Jaguar. Not sure it's true because they're two different engines.

Or are they, really??

Good stuff, thanks for posting the info.

Have you gotten around to writing tunes to support 91 octane? Wondering how much more can be squeezed out by running premium fuel?

This is good news and doesn't surprise me at all. Indmar is using the 6.2 in various hp/torque configurations in various boats and these engines are putting out some great performance. Way better than any GM engine. The 6.2 is going to be around awhile.

I have no doubt Mike can make a tune for whatever octane you want.

Does an economy tune actually make a noticeable difference on the V10? I've really been considering getting a tune but don't know if it's worth it to buy anything more than the 87 performance tune.
