1 what voltage value should I read and where is pin 29
This is the idea, but I have more exact numbers somewhere......
0.45 (450mv) is usually the mid range discussed, neither lean or rich. (Some show 0.4 - 0.6 )

If the system is working right, you will not read a constant voltage on the O2 sensor. It will go up and down constantly. It will read rich, the computer leans the engine, it will read lean, the computer richens the mixture, and over and over. This is how it controls the mixture of the engine, constantly bouncing back and forth.
Oh, just thought of something, that bundle of wires that go behind the engine I mentioned, that houses the O2 wire, there is also a bundle of vacuum lines running next to the electrical bundle.
The vacuum lines are very, very, very, fragile.

Ok Gents, after all your help and advice I bought a code reader and the list of codes was so extensive I had to bring it into a shop. Remember, I am a novice! Anyway I thought I should man-up and report my findings even if it is bad news. Ended up having no compression on one of the cylinders, others test results just pointed to the final decision to put a new motor in. I know, there is going to be lots of opinions on this decision but know that I bought this truck after everybody and their brother had their hands in it. Bottomline...... I just wanted to start new. So thanks for all the diagnostic advice and such, much appreciated.
Is it me or just life in the project truck world?! As you know I opted for just starting new, and thank God that I sent her in to a shop instead of me and my buddies dropping in the new motor ourselves. The new motor went in just fine but the mech could not get it to run right, long story short he pulls the motor and sends it back to Jasper with a few choice words and has now put another new new motor back it her. I should get it today, note the timeline on this issue. Wisconsin summers last about 3 months and I am missing my drive time. It would have been even longer as I do not have had the leverage his shop has to make Jasper step up and deliver another motor.
I'll follow-up when it's done, this note may just be another update considering the progress so far!
The new new one is already in, this picture is the old new one set to go back. Glad I did not try to tackle this one as my hair loss is already severe!
I appreciate the nod of approval on the Jasper motor, it was a considerable leap of faith so hearing it from a guy who actually built them is just great.
With the new motor installed and running great, I opted not to put the Jet performance module back on the new one, is this item of interest to anyone out there?
