egt sensor pinpoint help

egt sensor pinpoint help

well , what i am trying to do is pinpoint which of the sensors is bad without a scantool, any ideas? had my truck go into stop safely mode and got it running again and now no more check engine light but still think one of the egt sensors is bad.. any ideas?

It is typically EGT_13 that fails on these trucks, because it is the sensor that gets the hottest.

which one is egt_13? location?

The rearmost sensor that gets the hottest. It threads into the outlet end of the DPF. Good luck trying to remove it without damaging either the sensor or the DPF too.
