amish murder

i can understand why the guy in the car was mad, but i dont believe he needed to shoot at some kids. it would really **** me off if someone was throwin crap at my truck especially if i had already talked to them about not doing it. but i wouldnt shoot at them. i also thought that the amish were supposed to be somewhat primitive, i didnt know they used paintball guns, Co2 is kinda advanced for them i would think. its also pretty childish for a 23 year old to throw stuff at passing cars to get a laugh. im 17 and still find that immature.

amish murder

I would whip out the 'tater cannon (all eight feet of it) and give those little s**** something to be scared of. I would on no circumstances shoot anyone for any reason. I don't think I would even shoot someone if they broke into my house, wait, I would shoot someone if they tried to take beke from me.

I would graciously give them a ride home in my truck, and have a conversation with their parents about what they were doing. That is the way their society works. Bring it to the parents attention, and ask for nothing more than the correction of the offender. No threats, no yelling, no asking for damages. This society used to work that way, until parents became afraid to punish their children. The worst thing that ever happened to our culture is Dr. Spock, and his contemporaries.

I was thinking - Hey, if it bothered the guy so much, why didn't he:

Stop!
Get out and walk out into the field, and find out who's kids they were?

At the very least talk to them, and arrange for their parents to have them wash the car!

That, or so it seems to me, would make the punishment fit the crime!

You messed it up - okay, you fix it!

But gunfire is insane...

In many places, shooting a paintball gun is assault with a deadly weapon, and DOES justify return fire.

Jarlaxle is right to a certain degree. But nothing requires a shotgun in this case. I agree that he should have stoped and talked to them.

A 23yr old amish man doing this though is so wrong. I would like to see the family punish those who lived but something needs to be done about this :annual: tadition.

The man was clearly only shooting at them with the shotgun because he was 50ft+ away from them, and he was only trying to hit them with pelets. Now I'm not saying he was justfied in doing so just trying to clear that up. The 23yr old MAN was also very stupid in doing this. In a way it was good, at least now some kids and ADULTS will think before going off and messing with people. I have no remorse for anyone involved. I guess what goes around comes around in my book(even if it isn't fair). -4speed
