I just bought a EZ Wiring 12 circuit harness. I would like to mount it in the drivers kick panel. Any tips on how anyone did that? was it mounted to a bracket, panel, etc... did you tack it, bolt it??? Any pics or directions would be great! thanks
I mounted mine on the firewall interior, above the steering column. It is a little hard to see, with my tired eyes, but, it's out of the way, secured through the firewall, easy routing and accessible.
I suppose you could put a thin piece of sheet steel behind the kick
panel, bolted to the single brace, then the fuse box to the metal. I just thought that area was prime for getting in the way of shifting, entry/exit, etc.

OK. I mounted my Ron Francis fuse panel in the center of the vehicle where it is easy to get to. It also puts it close to the auto trans and shift indicator controllers. The emergency brake handle on mine is on the left and would cause you to bang your knuckles on the fuse panel every time you used the ebrake.
I like the idea of getting it out of sight in the kick panel. That looks great jbfrmca. Any guess as to how the panel is mounted to the truck itself? I am trying to figure out a way to mount it so that no bolts protrude the outer body. Do you plan on taking any wires out the bottom or do you plan on taking them all out of the firewall then out towards the back? Here is what I am working with.
if look at the pic you can see they mounted it on a aluminum plate. also you can see the counter sunk screws on the door jamb and what looks like two more screws/bolts attached to the firewall/fender area.
i am going to have my wires going thru the lower front of the cab. that way you will not see any wires going to the headlight, horn, ign and charging.
