Can someone help me with what year and model this pump came from... Iam guessing a 80 s mercury.
Got the truck running!! Thought I would share a pix with the forum
Thanks Scott
This looks like the Ford C-II P/S pump with the plastic reservoir, but looks can be deceiving.
Steel reservoir, large dipstick and turret = Ford/Thompson P/S pump: 1965/66 FoMoCo vehicles & 1966 F100/250 2WD
1967/77 Ford/Thompson P/S pump has a steel reservoir, but has a "pencil neck" dipstick.
Both of these pumps: The P/S pressure hose threads onto the pump.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Plastic reservoir: 1978 and later Ford C-II P/S pump.
The P/S pressure hose has a straight tube with an O-ring on the pump end. Connects to the pump w/a qwik connect fitting.
The PS pump pictured is a Ford C-2. The C-2 was installed on Ford cars and trucks from '78 through the early 2000s. The first Ford serpentine setup I know of was installed on the '79 Mustangs. Later, the serpentine setup was installed on other Ford cars and trucks.

And the Panthers (Crown Vic Grand Marquis) in 79 on the SBF and Windsor
they did not have a Tensioner like the Mustang but adjusted on the Alt.
