Cottonwoods are too messy.

Cottonwood is great for wood carving and wish I had it around here..

All ash trees have been clear cut in the City because of the emerald ash borer. Neighbor has one but dumps several hundreds of dollars in chemicals on it every year.

Come on down! Cottonwood is cheap here. There were a lot of them in our old neighborhood. I use to have clean out the A/C condenser every two weeks.

The ash we have up here is swamp ash, called black ash . I know the ash is taking a real beating in all the cities in southern Ontario. Elm is another. The street I lived on growing up had both Elm and Maples that made a canopy over the road and all died of disease..

I think they hooked up the gas meter to the phone line in the late 80's here.. If i remember correctly.. Might have been early 90's

They keep introducing new species of bugs to kill other bugs and they end up killing something else and you can't control them..
