Personally, I have only done about a dozen or so but I think the brass are easier to start but being softer, easier to get a little crooked. You really need to have a driver that just fits inside the lip. I like to use that Indian Head shellac type of stuff that NAPA sells.

I remember my first ticket. The war dept. just got done saying, "I got a ticket right here once", and they nailed me. She had to have arranged it!

Its a damn shame that you didn't pour antifreeze in it before the trans went in. May have leaked enough it see it was leaking.

I never had the transmission off the back of the motor and wasn't even thinking about frost plugs . I think the run up to Red Lake and back loosened any corrosion with the system pressurized ..
