We pay a small fortune for water here but on a flat rate, no meters...

Good evening Illinois, Shaun, Don, and John!
Was a decent day today, in the low 80s and not much humidity. We went to the neighbors breakfast and stayed for lunch. Came home and cut the stump down to size and covered with dirt. Tomorrow I'll water it down and add more dirt and seed.

Like I've always said, as long as Chicago keeps flushing, Peoria will always have water. By the time it gets to Baton Rouge it has passed through the human gut four times.

I've learned a lesson on a volunteer pear in the front yard. The mower will eventually kill it.

I have poplar trees that used to like to start in my lawn all the time too, I guess keeping them mowed down does eventually kill them because I haven't seen any in a long time..

Poplar, and cottonwood trees are not allowed in the City.
Poplar grow tall and are subject to blow over.
Cottonwoods are too messy.

Poplars are like weeds up here , birch and ash is the only other hard woods you see much of , the rest is spruce and pine..
