Level

Ive got a 2012 250ccsb fx4 and my truck is level is that normal or should i go hunting for a leveling kit on it. It looks like factory height just level? I ask because i parked next to a 2017 350 cclb 2wd srw a few days ago and the rear of the bed was about 4 inches higher than mine and it sat raked foward

The 2017 is a totally new design and build. There is NO comparison between the 2011-2016 trucks and the 2017 trucks. You should compare your height to trucks from 2011-2016.

My 2012 F250 didn't have much rake compared to my 2016 F350. The big difference is the size of the block under the rear springs. At some point, in 13 or 14, Ford started putting the same block on the 250 as the 350, to reduce rear sag when loaded.

Yes, it's possible if you got the smaller rear block. I did.

So in most folks' opinion, is level good? Or it depends on what you use the truck for? I tow a 21' enclosed Haulmark trailer with a Thunderbird in it. When loaded trailer and truck are level.

It's all subjective. Some like the rake, some like level. I prefer level, can't stand the ***-high look.

Thing is, they are raked for a reason. So that loaded they are level. I *hate* seeing these trucks sagging, and that's what one that sits level when empty does loaded.

Of course. I was relaying what mothership Ford intended, not what one *could* do.

I had a 98 f250(looked like the 150) with active air suspension for the rear, always sat level even loaded. I like level, would say an inch rake is where my preference is. I added air bags to both f350s, previous and current. Would love a kelderman setup, just haven't been able to convince my self of it yet.
