HELP

I've got a 72 E-100 van . I need to fix the side slider assembly but I cant figure out how to remove the outside panel that exposes the rail and arm .I removed the 2 screws ,1 inside and the one up under the back corner . I can't see any other screws . Any help would be great . THANKS in advance .

Pry/pull it straight forward, it slides over several studs, in a "key hole" type set up.

It won't slide forward ,there's a bracket at each end . It appears it can only come straight out or up and out ? I wonder if there's screws on the inside ? I hope not interior is cherry (fur and vinyl)I think I would destroy it taking it out .

More than likely there are fasteners inside the van that are holding it.

Yea, should be one Phillips screw at the rear, inside the cover, and one at the door jamb, inside the slider.

Thought I read in your OP that you removed the screws??

Pulled those screws, and it should slid forward of the key slots.

Note.......been 12 years since I had to deal with repairing a slider.......cube vans don't have sliding doors
