I carry a Ingersoll Rand W7150 with me at all times if I'm going further than work. It is absolutely amazing for changing a flat. Second most important thing is a good bottle jack.
20 volts

Milwaukee M18 Fuel 1/2 inch.....

That being said, buy whatever you have already invested in when it comes to DC Power Tools and their batteries....

What's the deal with the batteries though? Everything I buy that uses them, they don't seem to last too well. I think they are Ni-cad? I found out about a way to zap them with a high voltage electrolytic when they won't take a charge anymore, and it does work well but seems temporary. I saw some replacement batts at the hardware store the other day and they wanted $70, for one (1) battery. Sure that's retail but jeeze louise.

Ted, if possible replace your nicads with lithium - they seem to last forever - you will never go back to nicad. I did this with my 18v Dewalt tools. Hth.
