New to the forum - this never even dawned on me - I'll be slapping a hose clamp on my tailgate

2017's must be different than the 2015's. Hose clamp on the left side does nothing on the 15 since it's a complete tube the gate slides into.

same way my 2004 is...slot is only on one side. A clamp on the (drivers side) would do nothing.

One for show, one for go. The one for go is hard to reach.

Hey guys, if anyone is looking for a keyed lock for their tailgate, I have six extra of
these these
sitting around.

Current amazon price is $24 but I'd be happy to send you one for a lot cheaper than that if that is allowed on the forum. Send me a message if you'd like one as they are just taking up space in my garage.

TWO hose clamps? I can see one on the right side where it lifts out, but the second one location?

I admit, I was one of those punks back when I was 10 and wanted to have the cool chromed caps on my bike. I eventually got caught and my butt got kicked with a bunch of punishment from my dad. I personally like the green nitrogen ones on my truck now but I'd look at something like this to stop theft.

Between that and keeping the handle locked when not in active use, I figure I'm pretty safe.
Love it!
