Well, looks like the 5L engine is the only one NOT having issues.
Nope they have ooling issues. But not terrible. http://www.mustangandfords.com/how-to/engine/1504-addressing-the-coyotes-achilles-heel-with-a-billet-oil-pump-gears-install/
I read that article and from what I gathered it was mostly built racing engines where the engines are not stock.
Cooling is a bit deceiving I think as it's more of an oil lubrication issue. I think of radiator issues when I think cooling problems.

Yeah I figured that too. Only happens when forced induction is added I think. Though maybe it's when other mods are done too. Okay I guess early engines had out if round cylinders and water pump issues. https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1449796-2011-f-150-with-5-0-any-big-issues.html
If people are that paranoid, extended warranty may help.

That's a 6 years ago issue. Certainly early version ecoboost. They've been through numerous minor upgrades and the complete redesign in 2017 since then.
Sadly, the redesign KEPT all of the same inherent design issues. It is still going to be problematic... ask the Raptor community! They all have to drill the intercooler weep hole for functionality.

That's a load of crap and you know it. You (as Sasquatch77) convinced exactly 1 (one) guy on another forum to do it. He saw no condensation come out, although he did seem to think his misfire at idle went away.

I know this. Ford didn't want to waste money on a "flawed" engine, so they did the necessary upgrades to counter those issues. They've poured millions into R&D for the EcoBoost, just makes sense.
Ford was not able to address the issues - ask any ecoboost owner if the problem was solved. They will tell you no, and they fixed with the weep hole. I am not here to hurt anyone or anything. Unsuspecting consumers need to know what to expect with an ecoboost so that they can make a choice.
FYI - Fords shutter system and center mount license plate are still not enough to prevent condensate. That is fine, you guys will enjoy the inherent design flaws.
Enough is enough once again. The thread is going no where as usual due to the relentless rhetoric of an individual. Too many complaints from well respected members here to ignore what must be done.

I don't see what the problem is here. This guy brought up arguably legitimate issues with the Ecoboost that have existed since the beginning.
I thought forums like this were for talking about truck issues and many have different points of view.
There's no doubt the Ecoboost had and is still experiencing issues, especially the newer 2.7 engine.
I come here to research issues with the Ecoboost and I'm glad there are people who post these problems here.

The problem here is, with the second generation the issues have been rectified as far as we know. The condensation problem has been remidied with a smaller intercooler, active shutters, and the license plate blocking it. So it should be a no issue. Timing chain stretching has been fixed with smaller chains (length wise) and there's more than one. The engines use new cams that are hollow for weight savings and being a new design cam phasers are in place.
And we have seen snapped cams too... the 17+ IS experiencing cam phaser failures (remember the timing chain stretch is collateral damage), and there are misfires galore on them... enough to where they are having to do the weep hole.
How many times you going to lie cobra? You are feeding misinformation to people for the future and the current. It's any wonder your rear hasn't been banned off this site yet or Raptor Forum for your lying.
