Will Bronco II values take off?
This post on the HP mentioned a near-mint looking model that's estimated to go for 7 to 9k at auction.... Do you think we'll ever see Bronco IIs take off in value?

Call me a cheapskate but near $10k for a Bronco II is a fair amount of money. But by the pictures that is a remarkably well-preserved example! Not many of these left where I live, they've all fallen prey to rust

I believe they will go up in value. With the new Bronco coming, there may be a surge in popularity. The B2 is closer to the uniqueness of the original Bronco than the f150 versions. Considering the cost of a beat up 66-77 then to restore, the B2 may be a better choice. I do like them and am looking for one in excellent condition now.

I seriously doubt that B2 values will take off. While the B2 in the photo is a pristine example, theres more to value than the condition of the vehicle. The primary means of determining value is desirability and/or collect-ability. Sadly I think that the B2 will garner as much desirability as a mint condition 70s Pinto. After all, it ain't like the B2 was anywhere near as popular as the original Mustang was. It's not even a direct descendent of the original Bronco. While it does share similar dimensions, it's actually an offshoot of the Bronco. There isn't anything particular to that model that would make it more desirable. The engines were mundane, there were no real stand outs. It was just a simple throw away downsized SUV. There was no Boss, Mach 1, no convertible, or fancy anything. Perhaps in the distant future when people have forgotten the B2 totally, it may posses a high value, but it would probably be a result of being an oddity…or maybe cars in the future are so much more boring, that the B2 in it's current form happens to be much more exciting…kinda like how a modern Focus compares to a classic Cobra Jet powered Torino.

I actually would not be surprised if BII values eventually do rise. Probably not dramatically but at least slightly. As Generation X comes to a point where we have enough disposable income to afford a collector vehicle many of us are beginning to look at the vehicles that we wanted or drove when we were teenagers. Many of us, myself included, have good memories of the early Rangers and Bronco II’s. They were good, tough, dependable, little trucks and some Ranger enthusiasts are already beginning to restore them!
