No start

Came outta nowhere - 2014 6.2 turned over slow this morning but started; got to work (25 highway miles) and now won't start. I haven't tried jumping it yet but am wondering if this is similar to the "electrical gremlins" thread.
Has this happened to anybody else? Anybody had a battery die in less than three years?

The battery in my wife's '16 escape didn't make it 2 months. First thing you need to do is check your battery, then your alternator. Insure your battery terminals are clean and tight.

slow crank... 90 percent of the time.. Weak battery or bad connections to battery.

charge battery and go to large auto parts store..

have them LOAD TEST battery.. ONLY the 100 amp load test is valid...

Thanks for the replies. My jump box didn't start it but our on-site security jumped it with theirs. I guess I better charge my jump box. Anyway, it jumped off fine so I'm thinking battery all the way. Off to Auto Zone.

The newer trucks and cars are hard on batteries because of all the stuff that powers up when you open the door and ever more when you insert the key before you even turn the key to start it, the fancier the truck the more stuff before startup.

Battery flunked the load test at Auto Zone. Replaced it and all is well again. The Auto Zone Gold has a 3-year no questions asked warranty and is prorated out to 5 years.
