Glad to see all the nice new trucks arriving. Wish I could join in with a pic of my own. My delivery date was supposed to be today but that has come and gone. Now my delivery date has disappeared from COTUS all together. I'm hoping I see my truck soon.
I was wondering about your delivery today because I hadn't seen you post anything about getting your truck. There is something going on with their delivery process. I was supposed to take delivery tomorrow and I really don't think it's going to happen unless there is a miracle. I actually called Ford today and got in a long conversation with a customer service rep. She tripped over herself apologizing, but had no answers about what's going on with their shipping/delivery. She told me to expect 12 weeks from ordering to delivery. I informed her 12 weeks is the day after tomorrow and asked her what she would tell me on that day,,,,,silence.
For weeks now, Ford chat has told me that my delivery date was June 21st, which is tomorrow. As I've said numerous times, I have a trip planned with family coming from all over the country. This trip is scheduled to start next Monday. Went to the dealer today. His computer still shows my truck sitting at the truck plant 178 miles from me. I got on Ford chat tonight and asked for an ETA. All of a sudden, they can't give me that info and directed me to my sales manager. Thursday will be 12 weeks since I ordered this vehicle. I am now absolutely totally pissed off at Ford for their lack of customer service. I can leave on my trip with my current truck, but I was hoping not to do that for fear of it being damaged on the road before I trade it in. The other issue is that I have rebates that will expire before I get back, including the limited time veterans rebate from Memorial Day. I just don't understand how this company could be so all over the place with their build/delivery process. I could understand if it was on a train and out of their control, but it's sitting in their yard waiting on a truck for 2 weeks!!!!
Rant over!!!!
Did you put down a deposit? My dealer supposedly locked my in my rebates including the military one at the time I placed the order. I was assuming they would be good until the truck is delivered, I was hoping that they might even increase if they are better by the time the truck arrives. I guess I might be assuming to much we will see when it finally gets here.
Don't know what to think at this point. My dealer did confirm it was at the rail yard waiting on transport but he threw in the it might take 7-10 days from now to travel the 60 miles. And now as of this morning, COUTS shows my truck as delivered. My salesman was supposed to call me today with an update so hopefully he has good news. Doesn't matter all that much as I can't get the truck until Friday due to business.
Good luck to all of you guys expecting your trucks this week. I can only imagine the level of anticipation that your currently going through. My truck still says 16 days to delivery with an ETA of 7-8 and supposedly it's still sitting at the factory waiting for a train. However, when I look up some of the other VIN numbers for trucks on my dealers lot they show to have taken anywhere from 14-20 days to show delivered once they show as shipped. I'm starting to think that the ETA shown in COTUS is just for when it will get to the unload lot not the dealership. I've been seeing a lot of people encountering delays due to the trucking companies getting the trucks to the lots. At this time I have zero faith that I will see my truck in the 16 day window. The sad part is this part of the waiting game sucks more than before my truck was actually built. Now, I know it's built and just sitting there. Oh well the wait continues.....

No deposit needed. We made a deal for the price of the truck and my trade. I called Ford yesterday afternoon and spoke to a marketing customer care rep about how poorly their process is working and that I was going to lose rebates because of their inefficient delivery system. She confirmed that I would lose the rebates on the expiration date, that Ford wouldn't honor them once they expire. She indicated that I should talk to my dealer to request a price adjustment to compensate for the loss. Pretty smart on their part actually, take the money out of the dealers pocket even though it was corporate offering the discount. I haven't seen much of a climb in F350 discounts, I guess time will tell.
If you're worried about losing your rebates you can buy the truck before it gets to the dealer. I'm in the same boat as ETA is 7/10 and my rebates that total to $3500 expire on 7/5. There is likely going to be a change rebates but who knows if it will be better. All you need is a vin# to buy the truck. Just saying.
I'd call your dealer just to confirm if they are able to lock in the rebates that were in effect at the time of order. You can always take what is available at the time of delivery.
I was only eligible for 750 dollars worth of rebates when I ordered my truck. I ended up with about 3000 dollars in rebates though because new ones were made available to me during the process. You should get to decide if you want the rebates that were in place when you ordered (regardless if they've expired since then) or take what is available the day you take delivery. I'd definitely call the dealer and confirm this, but that's been the way it is for everyone I've heard from on the forum.
One potential problem of buying the truck early, other than some pretty obvious risks, is if you have a trade-in, you'll have to turn that in the day you buy. That would have been a deal breaker for me anyway.

Jim, that really sucks. You just got your window sticker when some of us were just getting started in the ordering processs. I am starting to feel your pain. Mine was moving really fast then all of a sudden its been sitting in Louisville KY since Jun 12th because of a mechanical failure. Thats 9 days and they cant get a train fixed or get another one to move the rail cars. Total Bull ****.
It's the railroad....they have their own way of doing things, on their own timeline. Don't hold your breath and a quick resolution.
I replied to another thread earlier today with some updates on your truck from BNSF, wasn't sure if you saw them so thought I'd bring it up in this thread.
Maybe the train breaking down is whats causing my delay as well. Mine has been sitting at the factory since friday. You would think Ford could do something.

I don't know if it's coincidence or the conversation that I had with a Ford customer service rep last night, but my sales manager called me at 9 am to inform me they were unloading my truck off the transporter. Yes, it arrived!!!! He had no idea that it was coming.
Went to do the paperwork and add in my rebates, Fords site showed my truck still sitting at the factory awaiting transport. It was sitting in front of the dealers showroom. Don't care what kind of glitches they have, the wait is over. My quick analysis of the truck is that it is a whole different animal than my 2014 and the truck is a lot smarter than me. I'll get it all figured out in the next few days. Hope this gives those waiting some hope. Figured it out with the dealer, 12 weeks to the day from order to delivery. I'll be off the grid for the next few days. Gotta get that 1000 miles on the truck by Monday when I do my trip from Kentucky to D.C., to Long Island, and back to Kentucky with the fifth wheel. Thanks to all who shared this adventure with me. My fingers are crossed for all still waiting.
