Well I may have jumped the gun a little on the priority level my order was submitted with. Seems that the priority level is a dealer centrist only priority that in most cases only prioritizes orders based on the dealers ordering allocation. If the dealer has no other orders in the pipe line than I would remain #1 in the queue, but if the dealer submits another customer order with a better priority that is when I would be bumped to a later date.
But for right now I'm okay, except for the fact that I will have to wait an additional 2 weeks because of the Kentucky plant shutdown the first 2 weeks of July..

My order was a priority 19. I wouldn't worry too much. I would bet the size of the dealership and other factors may come into play, but i could be completely wrong also.
Yep, the priority code from the dealer is meaningless once you have a vin.
If Dealer A only gets an allocation of lets say 5 F250's in a week and they submit 10 orders, the priority codes dictate which of those 5 Ford (will attempt to) get allocated first.
Thanks for the moral support guys, I haven't been waiting half as long as most of you but I'm skeptical of the dealership I ordered through. I didn't have a very good first go around with them, it took a while to work a deal.

Hang in there glrret. Your dates are no worse than what I'm going through and I didn't have to deal with the plant being shut down for 2 weeks. Hopefully the rebates will improve before they deliver your truck. Sometimes you just have to be patient and make the best of it.

Hang in there, my dealership screwed up the order on my 2011 so bad that when it came in, it was missing half the items I had ordered. I refused delivery on that truck and made them re-order another truck. I was much more of a PIA to them this time { partly due to the cutoff dates, I knew there would be no time to re-order a second time if they messed up.} when they placed the order for my new 2017, I literally watched the Sales MGR enter it in to the computer and place the order so they did not screw it up this time around.
My dealership sucks as well. The whole reason I ended up factory ordering at all was I got totally screwed on the truck I was originally buying from them.
It got caught up in the transmission recall drama and the dealer waited until I had already signed over my trade-in before disclosing that I couldn't take my new truck home. Adding insult to injury he claimed the recall would only take a couple days. This was back in early April. That same truck is still sitting on their lot - unsold and still in active recall status.
Thankfully I called Ford directly and found out the real deal with that truck, researched the VIN, discovered it was built last October and probably wouldn't be fixed and sell able until July. It was a no brainer to factory order at that point.
On the bright side, my truck is about 5 minutes from here, just waiting on final transport to the dealership. I should have my keys next week and back when I ordered the truck - my rebates totaled 750 dollars. Since then, I've ratcheted that up to 3250 dollars in total rebates and incentives. It pays to be patient.
My ETA has pushed out from 7-2 to 7-9. At first I was bummed about the possibility of having to wait an additional week. Then I realized that Ford will probably update their incentives on the 5th. Hopefully it will be a nice increase and if so the push out will pay off good. Now I have my fingers crossed that the ETA stays the same and Ford increases the incentives and rebates to something a lot better.

Wow they really screwed you! On the other hand an extra $2500 in rebates is a nice offset. Do dealers have to give you the additional rebates if any when the truck comes in? Or can they just tell you that you got what you got at the time of ordering. Also did you order the brochure that was mentioned earlier in this thread? There is supposed to be some type of coupon that comes with it that you can use for additional price off when you pick up the truck.

When you order the brochure, it shows up on the dealers computer. When I called him last week to get my total out the door numbers (im doing my own financing) we went through all the rebates. The coupon in the brochure you mentioned is worth 750 bucks here. He saw the rebate code on his screen with my name next to it, and I don't even have the brochure yet.
I picked up other rebates for being a vet, and of all things, a loyalty bonus for owning a Ford Focus. The standard factory rebate also jumped from 750 to 1000 and there's another one I picked up that I can't recall at the moment. In the dealers own words 'Holy crap dude, you hit the jackpot'
90% of the dealers out there will let you lock in the incentives that are available the day you order the truck and if / when new ones come in during your wait, you get to decide if you want the ones that were available when you ordered - or take what is available when you take delivery. It's a no lose scenario. I discussed this at length with my dealer the day we factory ordered. After the drama from the first truck we ended up not buying, I started working with the fleet manager instead of the salesman that pretty much screwed us back in April. I get X-Plan so I don't have to haggle or screw around with pricing. I know a lot of people can beat Xplan pricing, but I have better ways of wasting my time so I just run with that. I'm looking at spending about 45 minutes at the dealership when I take delivery instead of a whole day / week / etc.
All said and done, we're a lot better off ordering than taking from dealer stock. Better truck, better rebates, just having to wait on it kind of stinks.. but most of us on this thread can relate to that

If you're a gambling man, you don't have to take delivery the day your truck comes in if you want to see what pops up on the 5th
It's not like they are going to sell the truck out from under you with your deposit holding it. You could just tell them your on a business trip or otherwise preoccupied and you'll pick up the truck on July 6th. I don't have that kind of patience myself, but then again I'm the guy that's taking pictures of the train that my truck arrived on a few days ago.

Like you I have the X-plan available to me but IMO it's a joke. I ran the numbers before I ordered and found it would give me about 4% off of MSRP (MSRP on truck was $59,030, X-plan discount was about $ 2360) I called the dealer on the phone and told them what I wanted and that I wanted a minimum of 10% off of MSRP and I would come in and place the order. They took about 3 days to call me back, but they accepted my offer that included the available rebates ( I also got the Military & and Ford Loyalty rebates) I ended up getting a little over $ 6000.00 off MSRP. I kick myself for spending this much on a Pickup truck, so as much price off as I can get makes me feel better lol. I orderd the brochure yesterday and I noticed the Military rebate has increased by an additional $250. Also I need to finance about 20K on the truck and Ford is offering $ 750 cash back if you finance through them. I hope they allow me to use the coupon, extra military bonus and financing cash back to bring the price down even more.
I too have a brochure but it will expire before my truck arrives but when I talked to the dealer he said he could see the brochure code and that it was good for like a month, more than enough time for my truck to arrive.
I need anything I can get, rebates here in NJ are horrible.

My truck should be coming in at the very end of this month or first of July. My sales manager told me that he was going to lock in my rebates when I ordered. So what if the new rebates are worse than the current rebates? Can I still use my current locked in rebates even after the July 5th cutoff? I can pull the "Im going to be out of town" trick if I can have that option. Do rebates ever get worse the further into the production year? Thanks guys.
