Unfortunately my best 'scope' is mounted to a rifle or I'd be on the roof looking at it right now. I'd hate to have to go to prison the day it finally hits the dealer. This whole process has had me questioning my sanity from time to time. I think the end is near though finally.
Okay, my truck was built on the 6th according to Etis (confirmed by my sales guy). The date on the bottom of my sticker changed from 5/31/2017 to 6/7/2017 after the build and stayed that was for a week. Yesterday the date on the bottom of my sticker changed to 6/14/2017, and today the date changed to 6/15/2017. The truck is coming to the other side of Kentucky by convoy. Do these date changes mean I should start sitting at the dealership waiting for my truck, or are they just screwing with my head? Dealer told me yesterday that he has no idea when it will show up.
Just guessing here, but 6/14 was the date your truck was 'ready for shipping' officially. 6.15 is the day the shipper took possession of it.
Mine went by rail and went substantially further than yours. It took a week to get here, and has now been rotting in a rail yard about 5 minutes from here for 8 days.
Your dealer is probably spot on. Unless your truck is being delivered the entire way - from the truck plant, to your dealership, on 1 semi.. if that's the case, you might see your truck on Monday. If it's going via multiple carriers, even within the same state, July 4th??
Impossible to know. Also, I think your dealer is being lazy, they know exactly where your truck is... plus or minus an hour or so... The problem is If / when your truck gets dropped off at a terminal somewhere and is queued up behind 200 other cars and trucks for dealer delivery. That's where the logistics go out the window. While the local rail terminal is only 5 minutes from here, the parking lot there for new vehicles holds 5,000 cars and trucks.
Everything moved right along on my truck, including the railroad shipping. Then, it set in the rail yard for either 6 or 7 days. At that point, the railroad REnotified the trucking company, and, lo and behold, it was setting on the dealer's lot, 300 miles away from Portland, a day and a half later. I think the trucking company lost track of the first notification. Maybe the same thing is happening to a few other trucks in other yards. Having inventory setting on the car lot is one thing. Having it setting locked away in a shipping yard is a horse of a different color!

Dealer told me last month that once it got on a transport truck that it was coming the whole way on the same truck. This was his experience from past deliveries. His concern was getting it on a truck because they would want to wait till they had a full load coming to this area. Since my sticker changed twice in 2 days, I'm going to cross my fingers that it's enroute, with maybe a few stops along the way. I'm going to go back and have him look again tomorrow.
After having followed your nightmare with the train transport and having your truck sitting near your house for an agonizing period of time, I'm glad I'm not going through that. I also hate that you are having to deal with that BS!!!!

Appreciated Misery loves company as they say and this forum has seriously helped keep me sane. I *think* I'm taking delivery tomorrow, so all's well that ends well. I'd factory order again in a heart beat, I think next time I will do my best to not follow the progress of my vehicle at all. It really hasn't been that bad, just a lot of little disappointments, but I wouldn't change anything... kind of like being married for 20 years.
