E4OD problems

Got a '92 bronco throwing code 634-MLPS. Went to replace the mlps and found that the wiring terminal was different from stock. From what ive read, ford redesigned the mlps due to potential for water damage, etc.

How do i remove the old terminal and replace it with the one that came with the kit?

Thanks!

Thanks, i found that video too...just trying to find out if it can be done without cutting the wires back. My kit came with a terminal without wires and the mlps. So im assuming there's a way to remove the wires from the original terminal with out cutting or breaking them and replacing it with the new terminal.

Anyone aware of a way to get the terminal to release the wires?

Yes, you can do that. I didn't find a video for that.

On the end of the connector that plugs in there is a red plastic piece. Carefully pry that out, it's the lock that holds the pins in place.

With a very small pick, find the plastic piece on each pin that holds it in place. Carefully lift this small piece and the pin will come out of the back of the connector. The first one usually takes quite a while. Once you've done one the others take seconds.

Thanks! I'll give that a shot.

I pulled the red tab working on it earlier but wasn't able to locate the tabs that release the pins. Guess injust need to fish around a little more.
