My point is that continually replacing the stock shocks under warranty isn't "free". It costs time. Lots of time judging by how many of these are going bad with just a few thousand miles. My rears weren't leaking at all, but when I replaced them one of them won't decompress on its own, so it seems the nitrogen has leaked out even if the oil hasn't.
My time alone makes the shock replacement worth it, the ride is like a super-on-top-of-that bonus. I was going to replace them anyways, I need more capability from my shocks. But if I were just going to street queen the truck I would be seriously eyeing the regular 2.0's or Bilsteins. What's $450 on a $60-70k truck? (we should be asking ford that same question to be honest...)
