Cab Access

I have a 2017 F250 Platinum and am trying to route CB coax cable into the cab, but can't seem to find any access points. Has anyone found a way in from the outside?

Sorry, have not looked yet myself, and I am also curious. I'm also looking at alternatives to using my magnetic mount. I'm subscribing to see what suggestions are offered.

I gave up on the magnetic mount and put a antenna mount on my cross bed tool box.

I have some 'old' stake pocket mounts that I might modify and weld a flat plate to. I can just use the Driver front corner pocket and stick the antenna there. Just looking for a way to route the cable now.

The smaller two rectangles are vents that allow air to flow out of your cab when you close your door. The louvers are are a thin pliable rubber that flap open from air pressure.
As you can see in the close-up you have factory made cab access through these vents. All you need to do is run your wire from inside the cab, up under the rear insulation pad and out a vent hole. You may need to fish it around until you have enough protruding on the outside of the cab to pull it through from underneath the truck. At that point you can run the wire wherever you want, and you have put zero holes in your new truck! Good luck on your project, hope this helps!

I am guessing suction mount would not last any amount of time. Should almost ask Ford to consider putting a metal plate or magnet on the inside roof of the cab.

Putting a magnet on the head liner does not work. I have tried it and was not able to get the antenna to hold on the roof. To much material in between.

I haven't looked on my new truck but there usually are rubber plugs in the floorboard in various locations. This is where I ran the cables through on my previous trucks. Find a plug closest to the outside and access the hole location by removing the foot guard in one of the door jams.

Where are you mounting yours? On my Ram I had it on a mount that came out the front fender, between the hood and fender, but I haven't found a mount like that for the new super duty yet...

I ran my coax through a rubber grommet that my step electrical goes through they are under the drivers and passengers feet. I just cut a slit in the grommet and ran both my radio wires and coax through the slit
