My quote was $1595 for the 5 year. We didn't talk about yearly maintenance costs after I got that number. That money buys a lot of beer and wax. I am intrigued by the ceramic coatings though.
The local dealer here in SoCal is asking $2500 for a lifetime CP coating. that is 4 layers of hard coat and one layer of water repellent coat. $2500 can buy you a bunch of car wash and waxes

Have you checked out Optimum products? I am a huge fan. There is a good SoCal guy that does coatings.

My pops had his Corvette Z06 done by a guy in Tustin I think. It looks absolutely amazing, he threw in all sorts of extra coatings for free too. Its been over a year now and it still looks ridiculously good. Was $2000 with ceramic tint all around as well.
Personally I think this is a racket - nearly $2k for the application and every brand had a warranty requirement of annual or bi-annual inspection / reapplication of several 100 dollars (ceramic pro is setting and controlling their fees with all their dealers)
cp told me $450 for an annual (warranty required) detail/reapplication - others were near that but required 2x annual inspections....of this stuff is so hard/long lasting I don't know why they'd need the annaual reapplication (other than to keep their revinue stream alive).

Something to consider is Texas does not really get any weather as compared to some places. Not saying the coat does not work but makes it easier on the coat.
The comments on rock chips make me shy away from the coating.
Yeah its not just apply and be done. If that was the case every detail shop would apply it.
no one would have to do this much prep work to a NEW truck, especially a WHITE one like mine - my truck had less than 1000 miles on it and the quote was the same for it as it was an older truck. - the prices are set/controlled by ceramic pro.
Lmao a truck right off the trailer can have paint spots that need to be corrected. Mine had under 1k miles and needed a few spots fixed... And I still don't under stand where you are getting 300 to 500 on annual requirements you must have shops that don't want to really apply it.
And it cracks me up when people say I can do this at home.... my truck doesn't fit in a garage and I don't have a covered shop can i apply this out side.
