acetone emblems...
Well,
I'm gonna step on out and acetone the emblems this weekend...My wife's gonna kill me if I screw up the paint!!!!
I'll let ya'll know how it goes and take some pics when done.. Should look pretty good against the maroon (torreador red) paint..

acetone emblems...
If you can find my gallery you can see what it will look like on the torrodor <or however it's spelled> paint. Some people say use Q-tips, I taped off the whole area and used a paint brush. I started using a Q-tip but that was taking forever. Then I taped some garbage bags on the side of the truck and got the paint brush out. Then it went quick.

) and broke out an old toothbrush. I taped plastic up like was said above, and the toothbrush really got into the letters good, and 100 times faster then the q-tips!Good Luck, and take the time to mask everything off so you don't have to worry about getting sloppy on the paint.

acetone emblems...
I was planning on doing this once it warms up some. I want to keep the red Lariat lettering.
Chadrock - did it take any of the red off or did it stay intact? I want the pure chrome emblems, but the red has to stay. Any tips or pointer you guys? I was going to use masking tape and tape off the area around it. Is this a good idea, or does anybody have any pointers that would make it easier?

GRUMPY_ FD... you'll have to use the USER GALLERY link on the right side, then select the person's gallery you want to see.... until ken links a button or something, this is the convoluted way of doing it.
trust me when i tell you... this new format is WAY better than the old one... even with the few quirks it has.
