I had one cleat that had a little extra plastic in the channel that slides up the bracket and I couldn't get it into place no matter how hard I pulled on it. Had to take a utility knife to that extra plastic and then it slid right into place.

Two of mine went in easy. The other two needed a little persuasion with a hammer and a block of wood.

Just tried to install mine. Got 2 out of the 4 in without an issue. The other two won't go in. Even with silicone spray and help from a rubber mallet. This is ridiculous.

Try what Acelefty said. I had to trim mine a couple of months ago for the same reason you guys are having.

I must be lucky...mine all went in one-handed and it took less than a minute to put them all on.

Taking Off?

Looks like there are lot's of answers for installing these cleats. But mine came installed, and I need to remove one. Is there a trick to this? i tried, but they are on there tight!! I can't budge them. Yes, I did unlock them.
