Did you work the key to lock/unlock several times (better yet many times) to see it free up? Other than that, search this forum, there is a post on how to work free the lock. And there is another to replace the whole thing
Take a small screwdriver and push the cover in a bit, take PB blaster or another lubricant spray with a tube nozzle stick it well into the lock and give it a really good spray. Then stick the key back in and wiggle it back and forth. Worked on mine.
Once you get it freed up the best long term key/lock lube IMO is PTFE Lube from Ford that is actually for the slip joint. I have used this on several sticky locks, coat the key and slide it in and out of the lock, I did this and those locks have remained stick free for 5 months now.
If the easy method doesn't work then give this thread a read
mine would only work with the key when I bought it. I had to take the latch mechanism out and clean the dirt and debris from the sliding portion of the electric lock actuator and greased it up good.
went out this morning while walking the dog and gave it one more try... lo and behold, it opened up... woo hoo, I am a happy camper. will get it apart next week and clean and lube it. Thank you sincerely for the advice....
