I just did mine tonight. The electromagnet didn't want to come off with "gentle" prying and I saw where you are supposed to install the new one with the compressor nose up and use a special tool so I decided to leave my old one on there. It works fine, it's just the friction surfaces that were bad on mine. My instructions said to burnish the new assembly by cycling the clutch on and off 10-15 times per minute at 2500-3000 RPM for at least 50 times which I did.
Did you torque the 8mm shaft bolt? I just tightened mine "good enough" with a 1/4 drive, wondering if I should torque it.
Testing at idle in 80 degree ambient I had 38 degrees at the center vent. I'll know more this weekend and next week when we are supposed to have record heat.
Little bit of blue loctitie and "good enough" on the 8mm.... Have yet to take ur airgap smaller but the little bit of time using it, it didn't have a problem keeping the cab cool with no cycling noise....
