Jim here, been a member for a bit just taking in all the info. I have a 53 f100 that was restored a while back but never finished. The previous owner cut some corners on some of the repairs, and the truck had been sitting outside uncovered for a while so the paint has been ruined. Anyway I decided to post a build on it finally, Ive been working on it for about two years on and off. Ive installed a mustang II front suspension, its a paul hortons welder series kit with tubular control arms from speedway motors, im planning on using coilovers. The rear suspension is a triangulated four link kit that was basically a universal kit. I have boxed the entire frame. replaced the hacked in volarie front clip with 2x3 tubing. The truck has a 9 inch in the rear not sure on its specs yet, im running a 302 with a tremec 5 speed from one of my previous mustangs. the frame work is 95% done and im starting in on the body work. I would like to section a few inches out of the cab and cut the roof down a bit (not a chop) but likely wont do either of these things. I do plan on however cutting down the hood and removing the drip edge, I am 6'3" so a chop is out of the question for me. Im currently working on getting the underfloor brake and clutch setup made and mounted.
I appreciate any comments good or bad, or suggestions. Its not 100% done so theres still time to change things. Forgive me if I dont respond right away to you, Ive got a little Girl due with in the next week she will be taking up my free time.

Thanks for the kind words guys, Ive been welding for about 12 years or so just as a hobby. I have a 1 1/2 car garage thats really cramped but Ive got to make it work for now. I have some of my tools at a friends garage across town, sucks not having everything at home but what are you gonna do.

Those are some really good pictures of excellent work. Makes me want to go out and work on mine right now. Nice fabrications! That is going to be a really nice truck!
