Looking at a possible truck to buy and curious if anyone knows what kind of V8 this might be with the exhaust connected in front of the motor?
Looks like a Y block.
Should have some numbers and letters cast on the block for positive identification.
I'm not a pro, but if no one else chimes in Ill look it up.

If I remember correctly some of the numbers are located just above the oil filter on the block and some are next the distributor by the intake manifold.
I'll keep looking as time allows.
