I have a 66 F250 with a crown vic front end. The master cylinder, even with a new cover gasket continues to leak. Any reason for this? Would a new master cylinder be necessary? Is the original cylinder not big enough to handle the new front disks? Any suggestions would be appreciated. This is annoying.

In another thread mentioned searching for P/S column mounting bracket and where PO installed Crown Vic. front suspension setup. Not clear type of P/S setup is currently on the truck? Mentioned using original MS with front disc. and assume rear drum brake system; not an authority; but if the case, then I would hazard a guess and suggest a dual bowl MS for front disc. and rear drum application, to include a combination front disc. rear brake proportion valve? Post pic's perhaps member(s) can offer suggestions??
It sure doesn't look like it. I'm guessing that's the problem.
If it's a cast iron MC, then definitely not what came in the CV. They would have a MC with a cylindrical aluminum body and a see-through plastic reservoir.
I didn't see it mentioned whether you have a vacuum brake booster or, if the existing MC is mounted straight to the firewall (manual brakes)?
A photos(s) of your setup would help clarify what you have.
