Help me identify this ford engine please

Trying to sell this for my aunt....uncle died and this has been in the garage for a long time. 5 bolt valve covers, pictures attached. I think its from a truck but not sure. Any help is appreciated.

Hi,

I would guess from looking at the thermostat housing it's an FT.

You will need to measure the stroke to tell if 361 (3.5") or 391 (3.78").

I searched that intake number and found a post from 2007 from Numberdummy.

Here is the line regarding the intake:

1. Intake manifold - C7TE9425G (also 7M15) Cannot find a cross reference # C4TZ-9424-H / 1964/72 330 M/D & 361

Besides the t-stat another clue is the appearance of the exhaust crossovers going straight across the engine beside the carb.

It could be a 330 or 361. IIRC 391s were all 4bbl.

As such, it is worth the value of an FT core. The block could be used for an FE build, or, if you were really lucky, it might run with a mile clean up, fresh oil etc, and be a replacement engine for an older medium truck

Not sure what the transfer case looking item is, but there should be numbers and other id on it as well.
