I was having an espresso and a Cuban cigar and waited about an hour and half, they did breakout the drill. Overall looked easy, they knocked it out without cursing

Apparently YYMV... I installed the boards myself but had a local shop do the wiring. It took them 5 hours to do it (I was quoted 2) and the total came to $400. I told the lady about it and the tech came back saying it was pretty difficult and we agreed to 3 hours total ($240) once all was said and done. Was a bit miffed as money is tight (when is it ever not?) but since nothing was in writing I just took the "deal" and left.
FWIW install of the boards themselves took me about 2 hours but then again I've never done it myself and all of my tools are in my basement so making trips makes it worse.
I'll more than likely leave a negative review online as I wasn't offered a Cuban or an espresso much less a Newport and Texaco coffe!

I'm pretty sure Westin was the OEM for the factory running boards on the Excursion so those should work fine. Just be mindful that the listing above does not include brackets, which will add around $150 to the total price.
i'm in a similar boat as you, my truck needs new running boards. I was thinking about going with a set of Smittybilt nerf bars and simply putting in some LED's under the truck hooked up to the factory courtesy lighting pigtails. If I end up doing that I'll be sure to put it in my build thread.

THIS is also needed for $106 bringing the total to $399 delivered. I was thinking of the Westin for the simple reason that if they are OEM, it could get away with maybe hooking the electrical plugs in but NOT a lot of drilling and cutting?
