Hey gang! My running boards are rusting out from under the palstic coating on my 2000 Limited Ex. Anybody have any good luck or bad luck with certain brands of replacement running boards. I like the tubes and I 'll figure out the light situation at a later time. It is still kinda winter here on Cape Cod! I'm looking at these...

I, too, am having problems with my 2000 ltd's running boards rusting from underneath (the driver's side is pretty bad). I'm trying to find replacements that utilize the lights, but they're pretty pricey.
I'm also on the Cape, so I'm noting these many coincidences and taking them as a sign to go buy a lottery ticket.
My passenger side is about gone. You really have to watch where you step or the plastic bends. I was thinking of fabbing up some new brackets but aftermarket might be easier.
Check your local craigslist listing, you might find a good deal. I just picked up 2011 Crew Cab chrome angular steps for $125 this week. Awesome upgrade!
If anyone is interested in retaining the factory look and boards, I have an 03 Ltd, from Alabama(that's never been winter driven in Canada). I'll be bringing it out of winter storage in 2-3 wks, and removing the factory plastic covered boards at that time, if anyone is interested, they're in perfect condition and all 4 lights work. I can arrange shipping also. Nunomad
