Need some help on wiring my 1972 F100. Ran a painless performance kit. Issue I'm having is someone has tampered with steering column. Ive looked up multiple diagrams and it seems these trucks vary with wire coloring so any input would be great. Ive attached pics including the column wires, dimmer wires as well what i believe to be the neutral safety switch wires. Any advice or input on color codes or direction would be greatly appreciated.
Looks like maybe your PO installed a tilt column out of a 78/79 dentside. Which may be the reason he jacked with the wiring. If you gently push the T/S lever Forward towards the dash does the steering wheel pop up?
Then it is a later model column. Do the flashers work by the switch or is there another 4 way switch in the glove box or dash?
I HATE wiring so I put a bump style T/S in my 79 tilt column and just used the stock 4 way switch.
