Questions about using EFI head.

Questions about using EFI head.
I'm finding lots of good info and advice here so I'll ask another question about the build I'm getting ready to do. I was lucky to find a low miles 94 EFI engine that really didn't need a rebuild but I will be going trough it anyway before putting it in a M715 military 5/4 ton with many other mods to the truck. My question this time is about the head. I have seen a lot here about using 240 heads to get the compression up a little more and about installing screw in rocker studs. My 94 head is in very good shape and it will take very little grinding on the seats and valves to get them back into shape and it also uses pedestal rocker studs. The camber size is near what the 240 is and these heads are much more plentiful so I think I will go with it. Are there any problems with them that you guys know of or any reason I should look for something else? Buy the way I am of coarse using the EFI exhaust manifolds along with a Offenhouser DP intake. And last but not least what the hell size are those air tube port holes in the intake ports. Best I can tell they are not 3/8 or 1/2in. Would like to find some plugs for them but it can weld up the old tube fittings if necessary.

I would stay with the head you have (EFI). Same chamber volume. You may have to retard the spark a bit depending on which distributor you use. Ford makes a plug for the ports - got some but don't have the part #. Check your friendly Ford dealer.
Don't let the engine overheat as it may be prone to head cracking.
