Rock auto customer service

How have y'alls experiences been with customer service from Rock Auto? I haven't ordered much online for my truck ( usually time is of the essence). Are their part descriptions accurate? And how are they on returns? The savings are pretty damn impressive, I can upgrade across the board ans still save money over Oreilly's.

I have had excellent customer service, especially with low quality parts that I needed to return or parts that were damaged in shipping. Shipping costs were reasonable. Try to stick with motorcraft parts in general for quality. Also rockauto's catalog is by far the easiest to work with.

Their catalog/site has one flaw - there isn't a good way to post a link to a particular part page. Other than that, navigation is great, and esp. for parts that have a variety of possible applications (say, tie rods), they generally provide enough info to narrow down the part you need.

Shipping - be careful, because they ship from multiple warehouse locations, and you pay per shipment. So it saves to select items that ship from the same location. The catalog provides all this info, however.

And don't forget to look for a 5% discount code; there's always at least one active.

Rock Auto is also a site sponsor. They frequently have discount codes listed in the vendor section.

I use them frequently, but as noted above pay attention to the shipping costs. It can be a deal breaker.

I've had an overall good experience. One miss listed part, one miss boxed part but they took care of it quickly. I've got about 15 of their magnets on my fridge if that says anything.

The only thing I'm not a big fan of is there shipping. It's not bad if you order one item at a time, but multiple items can make shipping quite spendy.

They have always been good for me, I buy parts for 3 of my cars from them and have it shipped to Australia. Never had an issue with packaging. One issue I had they sent me the wrong fuel gauge senders for my truck, but the refunded my money immediately without me returning the goods, and I think it was the water pump I bought didnt have the gasket that was supposed to be included but they sent one out right away.

Great to deal with. I have been dealing with them for about two years. Had a problem with some misrepresented brake drums that came in with 6 lug holes when they were supposed to be 8 lug. I didnt open them for some time as it was for a project. They were very nice and let me send them back for full credit. They are the best way to go if you can schedule your repairs.
