O'Reilly Auto Parts????

Anybody have any experience with these guys? What kind of company are they to work for? What brands of parts do they carry? What do you think of their quality and customer service?

I'm about to go work for them... They bought out my company and they are supposed to take over next week... I figure I'll probably get a pay cut and lose all my vacation time.

We have both an O'Reilleys and a NAPA in the town by me. I usually go to NAPA for parts. For some reason, I've had a hard time getting stuff from O'Reilleys and then if they do have it, the quality seems to be a notch down from NAPAs parts. Just my personal take though. Customer service has always been outstanding and they're more than happy to check the other O'Reilleys in the area for me. No real complaints I guess. Good luck.

They are all over Oklahoma. They are an excellent company with a very good selection of parts. I got fed up with the yahooos at my local Autozone store. Pathetic customer service and waiting for the clueless people behind the counter to wait on all the customers was a true test of patience. The prices are nothing to keep me going there. Napa is pretty good, but they are not as easy to find and the smaller auto parts stores are o.k. The only odd thing I noticed about my local OReilly's is that new faces appear there often. I don't know if it's because they pay low or what? Good luck.

They are also the best place here locally to get actual Motorcraft parts, not just oil and filters.

i havent had any good experiances with them. they never seem to have much of a selection in anything, no matter what kind of car i was looking to purchase a part for. i purchased one part from them and it lasted until i sold the car 3 years later so i dont know about the reliability of their parts. the customer service could have been WAY better. i just find it more convieniant to go to advance, they have almost anything i need and most of it comes with a lifetime warrenty. that is the only reason i dont shop at napa, no warrenty on anything.

I ONLY buy from them. The prices are much better then anywhere in town, and they have a great selection. You can choose from several price ranges in just about any part you may want. Some of the less expensive brands are made outside of the US, but at least it's my choice. I give them the thumbs up.

I have dealt with several different stores, and it depends on the staff generally how it goes, but my local is one of the best. They got screwed on a couple struts that I found to be fairly tough to get, well, the manager was on the phone jumping down the warehouse manager's back because they kept messing up and not getting it out. he was about to drive from keokuk, Ia to Des Moines to get it, that's how ticked he was. Beyond that time, nothing but great service from them at this location. Iowa City, well, that was a different story....

I use them whenever I need parts. Our local Auto Zone's customer svc. isn't good at all. NAPA is way to high for the same parts. I've always had good luck with them.

The company I work for now is Bumper to Bumper... and we were told that we would keep Carter Fuel Pumps, Wagner Brakes, Moog Chassis, Monroe Shocks, Walker exhaust, Fel Pro gaskets, and a bunch of smaller things...

I think we have pretty good customer service, and I have a $9 Million warehouse only a few miles away, so parts availability isn't a big deal...

Auto parts stores generally have a high turnover rate... Napa is about the only company that pays decent wages, I've heard from former employees that they aren't that good of a company to work for, and when I applied there they had some really goofy policies...
I don't know what to expect, O'Reillys promised to keep the jobs of the upper level corporate management guys.... We have a huge customer base in this area, and we can easily beat Carquest, Napa, and Checker/Kragen/Schucks on price... hopefully O'Reillys will be the same....

I let you know what I thought of them. Where I go for parts depends upon the parts I need. Some brands the OR carries are no good. But then there are part brands that only OR has. Same as all of the other stores. The reason I won't go there is how they treated me as a customer.

Everybody has bad experiences... I was mostly looking for a current or former employee...

I like what I have now... change scares me...

This is what I have noticed around here. Napa may be a few bucks more, but I'm not returning bad parts every 3 days.. And NAPA DOES have a 30 day warranty on MOST parts. If it fails within 30 days I have never had a problem getting a REPLACMENT. They also handle returns well.

We have an O'Reillys here and the few times I have been in there I saw new faces each time. This is a small town now mind you so that may have some bearing on the big turn-over in help. In all fairness, our AutoZone has a big turn-over in help also.
I buy my parts from a local auto store or Napa. Both of them have the same employees that were there when I moved here over 15 years ago and they go out of their way to make sure you are satisfied.
