Speedometer Calabration Help
Speedometer Calabration Help
Oooo-Key-Dooo-Key guys... I finally have it figured out, The problem can be solved by adjusting the trim on the gauge itself... There is a company, I found that has the expertise to do the job. The problem with changing the sensing gears (the VSS is in the transmission) or the excitor sensors (the DSS is in the rear) or re-programming the PSOM, is the vehicle is travelling at the same speeds as it always was (i.e. tire revolutions, or drive shaft revolutions per minute)... By changing one of the above mentioned items throws off the odometer and possibly the PCM.... The only thing that needs to change is the calibration of the gauge unit itself.... Hope this makes sense... Changing items like the sensors, or the various VSS/DSS gearing would work if I had made a change to tire size or gear ratio.... But the only thing I changed was the gauge face its self..... Thankx gents for all of your attempts and ideas. All fo this was a learning experence for me and I hope for you all as well, Thankx for trying!

Speedometer Calabration Help
I am interested in getting that 120mph gauge kit, anyone have any pictures? I'm trying to learn about it and i am a little confused, are all the specific things you guys are talking about just trying to get that gauge kit to work? I assume that a 90mph speedo can not be changed to a 120mph speedo right? I have a 95 f-150 with a tach. Just trying to learn/research alittle. Keep this topic going.
