Hey everyone my truck has been running great hot or cold. But on the way to work this morning around 4:45 am I had to use my headlights. I do majority day driving. Anyways, when the motor is cold and I turn the headlights on the idle becomes rough high low high low high low lights dim and brighten but once the motor is warm the headlights no longer affect the idle. Any ideas? It is a new battery and a new alternator.

It is, when I've had problems with the motor this particular form has been a lot of help

Could have got a lemon alternator, that would be the first thing I check.

Is alternator connector melted?

Where did you ground the computer (PCM/ECM)? Since the issue is pretty much temperature related I suspect a loose ground somewhere.
