Maybe nothing. Check the voltage at the headlamp plug and compare it to the battery voltage at the same rpm. If the voltage at the plug is lower by more than .1v, there may be a poor connection.
If the voltage is the same but below 12.8 at idle, check the alternator output.

yea mine does this too but then it get bright/normal after a few minutes of driving. its bright on a warm start, but cold start, the headlights will be dim for a few minutes. is this your problem too?

i dont remember that happening before though. also, my starts seem to be a little longer than i remember. a couple months ago, i had replaced the starter. when i started it up, it was so quick to start it felt like the engine was already warm. then it gradually got slower. then i had to replace the alternator. same quick start up results, same gradual loss. now it turns take about seconds to start where as before it took about 1 second or less, like a new truck.
