I am really interested in a new Super Duty. ~ Maybe the solution is to wait until the 2018 or 2019 is out and then decide.
This logic suggests that all 2016 Super Dutys are zero defect vehicles. Or the last year ahead of a redesign across any manufacturer or type of vehicle is perfect and the older model Chevy or Ram ahead of a redesign is the only way to go.
You will always hear more bad on the forums than is a true representation of what is going on across all the vehicles sold, it's the nature of the forums, you'll find the same on a Chevy or Ram or Subaru or Volvo or Mercedes forum.
The original iPhone is working perfectly for me, I better wait an extra year from the launch of iPhone 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7.... before I upgrade, where does it end? Will you always remain a year behind out of fear? I understand the cost of an iPhone is not equivalent to a new truck but they both have something in common, a warranty.
Buy what you want or need when you want it or need it, being scared off by anecdotal "evidence" from this forum or any other is foolish.
My 2017 has an issue with both driver side doors the front one drops a little when you open it and the rear is way harder to close than the rest. I also bought a 17 350 flat bed for work and the drivers door is sticking way out at the bottom. Not sure how these made it past QC.
