Considering how much technology is put into these trucks I think the quality is top shelf. It can be very frustrating for anyone that spends this much money not to get the best. Unfortunatley for some that may not be good enough. I don't believe that anyone should expect perfection no matter how much you pay.
The panel fit on the wifes new 2017 Escape Titanium is horrible, in fact it's going in Wednesday to the dealer for it. It's so bad that edges on the passenger door are chipping! Panel fit is IMO something that SHOULD have been caught at the factory.
I have a 2017 F 350 Lariat that was built in Feb. I am happy to report that my truck is perfect so far. I purchased it to tow my 10,000 travel trailer. It replaced a 2002 F 250 that was in mint condition and I must admit that I had many doubts about getting this new very expensive tow vehicle that I only average 5000 miles per year!
We went on our first camping trip a few weeks ago and all my doubts are gone. This truck with a 6.2 gas engine towed and stopped my trailer with ease! No more white knuckles coming down hills.
My salesmen said all you have to do is put it in the tow mode and go. He was right. Brakeing is amazing. Power with 4.0 axle is very adequate for my trailer. So I am thrilled with the truck so far and although I am going to be 72 this year I have a big smile on my face every time I get in this beautiful truck.
For the price they charge for these things there are ZERO excuses.
This isn't a $20,000 Focus, the MSRP of these trucks is out of control.
At $70k plus I would expect the vehicle to be perfect.
Mine wasn't 70k+, it was only 69. But it is perfect. And I feel like I stole it from Ford. I would have easily paid 100k for the product I got. My truck is simply unreal.

I agree wholeheartedly. I think there must be a lot of Liberals on this forum. The won't discuss the issues, only name call, and they accept mediocre quality because that's all they think is possible. What a shame.

I have a early truck from October and it has been perfect. If there was anything wrong with this truck I would have found it. I could not be happier with my truck. Your political observation could not be any farther off regarding this forum. The forum is for truck discussion and I personally believe there are better places for politics to be discussed. If after reading this forum you think there are a lot of Liberals here, you should do some more reading.

Take a look in the mirror Troll. I bet you're the only Liberal on this thread
Have to say I am very pleased with the truck, both design and manufacture. I have gone over the fit and finish with a fine tooth comb and have zero complaints. Compared to my son's VW and my other son's Honda mini-van, this is awesome.
Have to keep in mind this is largely a hand built product, so there will be some mistakes along the way.
I teach my students, perfection is the enemy of good. This is a VERY good truck!

Perhaps you're right. There are better places for political discussion. My apologies. Been a bad day. I am really interested in a new Super Duty and am not a troll. Its just reading about so many issues with the new truck on this forum is disconcerting. Maybe the solution is to wait until the 2018 or 2019 is out and then decide. I know there are a tremendous amount of these trucks on the road and probably the issues are few in number, it's just that for $70 or $80k I thought this stuff shouldn't be happening. As an example, look at the number of people with leaking shocks. I would think Ford should do better. Again, my apologies for bringing up politics.

I think you'd find that the large majority of people who've bought these trucks are not having any problems. Ford, like GM and RAM, source parts and pieces from a number of vendors. They simply can't produce all the components these trucks require. To hold a company responsible for everyone else's failures, and the failures they have in manufacturing their own parts, is understandable. However, it's how Ford handles the issues that matters. I have a 125k/8 year bumper to bumper on my truck. I hope to never use the warranty, but if I do, I believe Ford and my dealer will take care of things. And GM isn't an option for me do to my personal values and I drove a Ram and it proved to not be an option either, but not because of the logo.
Add me to the list of trouble free owners. I have only 2200 miles on my 450, and it has been perfect so far. I have to say, I'm quite critical and know how and where to look.
