I've been looking through to he stickies for vin decoding. I find it bits and pieces, here and there. Is it possible to make 1sticky with ALL the info about axle codes, paint color, assembly plants, weights, body style, etc.......
All the information. I know Number Dummy answers most of these but it would be nice to have this. With this information posted in one location anyone can find their answer quickly without having to wait for an answer. That is one of the benefits of the stickies.
If I completely missed this location, my apologies. If I missed it, where is it?
Thank you,
PS..Not buried in another sticky.

If you want your truck decoded, post the VIN, Warranty Plate codes, Production Date printed on the upper left corner of the Certification Label.
AFAIK, there's no stickies, as myself & mikeo0o0o0 do this for each specific members trucks.
You can do this yourself on fordification, but I don't trust their info.
Well, don't be schüre with my Marti-Report.
Please can you tell me what the VIN 14HNO64420 means. Marti believes in fulltime 4WD, truck doesn't have this.
The original placards are gone, but the VIN and some more ciphers could be read on a new one.
Date is 11/76
And there is an Information as F0109/T0060
Please can you tell me what the VIN F14HNO64420 means.

F14 = F150 4WD Regular Cab Pickup.
H = 351M
N = Norfolk VA Assembly Plant.
O64420 = 1977.
The only way to determine the type of 4WD system, is from the code stamped on the front axle ID tag, located under 1 or 2 of the bolts that retains the inspection cover to the housing.
Post what the code is, I can decode it for you. However...by now, many of these ID tags are missing.
VIN & Warranty Plate AXLE code does not have this info.
Thank you ND for your help. I'm looking for this information so when I'm looking at a dent ( f sedies/ bronco) at a private seller or jy, I can tell the equipment is correct or not. It would be a great " on the spot" resource.
1996 Ranger and I don't find a warranty plate. I'm curious to what kind of 2.3 motor and while I'm at it, what kind of 5 sp transmission I have. Seems like there's 2 kinds of motors if I've read right. VIN # is 1FTCR14A6TPA77088. I have a super cab and a flare sidestep bed. I recently bought this and Orielly says I have a Evaporator Emission Valve malfunction making my check engine light come on. So I'm getting ready to get to know my vacuum lines and sensors. This info is a good start, Thanks.

I don't know if Bill visits the other forums, but you'll get better responses in the correct forum. You have a 96 Ranger I guess? You can also go directly to Ford parts to decode the 17 digit VIN
