Decode vin

just go here https://www.ford-trucks.com/vin-decoder/index.php, type in the VIN #, and change the year range to the appropriate range.

You can post all the info here or send it to me.
I've decoded over 600 VIN's & the codes from the Warranty Plate for members.
The decoder isn't always right, and some info isn't even listed.
I use the appropriate Ford parts catalog, not some bought off the shelf ref book.

The vin # has been decoded, however he has a question about the axle code:
His message: I got the vin but now im trhying to find something to read the axle code. It is h21. I dont know if the h is for the front or rear, but there is an h for front, but not a 21 for rear and there is an h2 for the rear but no 1 for front but I know the rear is 9 " for sure just from looking at it.
(this is garble to me.....can you make heads or tails out of his question?)

H2 = Ford 9" / 3.50-1 / with Limited Slip / 3750 lb. Rear Axle Capacity.
The third digit refers to the front axle.
There is no number 1 listed.
There is the letter I listed, but that's for 1978 or 1979 only.
Are you sure this is a 1977? Post the last 6 digits of the VIN for me to verify.
