The glow plug harness is clean and dry. The leak starts at the top of the starter. Everything else on the top and sides is dry.
Starter and transmission are oily.
My two suspecions are 1) HPOP possibly leaking externally from a seal????
or 2) Bed plate (if thats the case it ain't gonna get fix anytime soon)

Randy, are you telling me it won't be those two locations?

Here is a better example of where the leak is seeming to originate from (Just under the rear heat shield):

That looks like the STC area or possibly the HPOP cover where the block and rear cover meet.

I was looking through a couple of PDF's trying to figure that out.
Could possibly explain my very intermittent no/long starts.
I don't know though, maybe I should buy the STC upgrade and gaskets and just do it one weekend. Probably wouldn't hurt. After seeing that oil leak that high up, I don't think that it the bed plate by its self.
I am sure I have a bed plate leak still, but I doubt this is why I have the increased oil loss.

HPOP cover would be by guess as well. I have never heard of the IPR leaking but if it was you would think it would be the other side.

Maybe just the back side of the HPOP since I don't have anything in the valley?
Thanks Mike

Preston, did you check around turbo drain back tube. Any oil around there?

I looked every where around the turbo pedestal. I did not see any oil. Nothing is wet anywhere until I looked at that one spot I referenced and on down to the starter and transmission.

While I am in there with the turbo off, anything else I should update in that area?
This is kit right? We are talking about the square black gasket kit?

That's the kit. The only thing I question is the brass screen on the IPR screen. The Ford ones I bought had stainless steel.
