Northern Classic Trucks - shutdown - retired

Ford Truck Parts and Repair Panels for your classic truck at Northern Classic Trucks

I got my bed from Midwest Early ford and saw this company on the instruction sheet. I looked them up and they will be completely closed by May 15. Looks like they may have been the makers of many re-pops that we all buy as they a lot of tooling for sale as well. I hope somebody is going to pick up the slack. When i ordered my bed they told me to get it now or risk a delay due to the current manufacturer retiring. I guess they were not kidding!

And to the retiring owners...ENJOY your retirement and thanks for bringing this stuff to market.

Mack Products is who I would buy beds or bed parts.

Mack Products: Home

They do not have pictures of their products on the website; and you have to send to them for a copy of their catalog. I have pdf copies of part of their catalog including the order sheet. PM me with your email address and I will attach a copy for you. They make the most complete bed and parts that I know of.

I requested a price quote on a complete 48 bed with the sides with the reveal and the steel floor. They came back with $2,800.00 plus $100.00 to crate and $704.70 to ship from Missouri to Arizona.

Hope this helps.

From the page I have from the Mack catalog the complete bed prices for Fords, assembled, are as follows:
1928-31 $1,800.00
1931 Widebed $2,700.00
1932 $2,700.00
1933-34 $2,700.00
1935-36 $2,700.00
1937 $2,700.00
1938-41 $2,700.00
1942-47 $2,700.00
1948-50 $2,700.00
1950-52 $1,680.00
1953-72 $2,040.00

Note: These prices are for authentic beds. Fender bolts and gas filler holes are not installed in bed sides. If you prefer a custom wood floor in your 1931-50 Ford (see page 12) with stainless hardware, the price is unchanged fro above. If you want regular steel hardware, you may deduct $100.00 per bed.

The prices on this older catalog page may have changed so check with them direct.

I got my box from them. Picked it up from them on my way back from Michigan International speedway. Really nice people. Seen the shop where they stamped everything. Had racks full of dies.

The NCT folks were great but the key was that they were tool makers and maintained their dies so the contours of their products would fit the original mating surfaces.

I've got a Todd Murthum bed that I still need to put together and install. Got it through Chuck's Trucks about 14 years ago. All the parts seem to be of very good quality, but did notice the mounting bolts weren't quite like the originals. - Bob
