First DIY.

Well, I finally crawled under my truck to do some work yesterday.
Tranny filter and refill, transfer case fluid change, Oil and filter.
50,000 miles. WISH I had a lift!!!
Quite a bit of metal on the magnet.
Glad I did it.

How much did you drain from transmission? was it completely cold or warmed up?

Thanks for that Video T-Diesel! I saved that one, I had had some kinda odd shifting so I will probably go ahead and do a full drain and re-fill along with the filter here soon, I want ford to take a look at it first, I took it in for a regular oil change and told them my issues and the tech confirmed a surging/hesitation when at a constant throttle position when accelerating or holding speed. I notice it mostly in the top of 2nd and then in 3rd gear once it goes into 4th and beyond its fine.. The tech that drove the pickup was their transmission guy and he pulled codes and looked at everything, said that the pressures were good, so they were thinking driveability issue and then mentioned the drivetrain is still covered under the 5yr 60k ford warranty..

Fortunately on our gas trucks the transmission dipstick tube is vertical and not horizontal like the one in the video.
