I'm sure it been posted that the tune can keep over boost code away but still can damage the map sensor. I believe Tugly posted this. Just to put it out there again.

This is the first time I've heard it could DAMAGE the MAP sensor???
If that's what you call them, I have experienced them. Thread title is bold, Stewart_H shows as last poster yet when I click on the title his post does not show up. Back to forum main page, reload and same thing. I thought maybe it was just me.
That's happened with a post of mine?
Heh heh heh....does that mean a new avatar for me?
No...I'd have to change my first name to something that starts with a "P" if I did that. No bueno.
...Of course, you'd want to crank your wastegate spring a little tighter to hold the higher boost or it will pop regardless of the WG solenoid command.
I didn't see that mentioned above?
Thanks for reminding me, I fixed it.

Yeah... 160 HP bump on a bigger turbo with all the air mods did the MAP sensor in. I now have to run a separate analog boost gauge to see the upper limits of boost and I protect the MAP sensor with a fooler, but I still get all my detailed boost readings from the OBDII port.
I've heard of one other person who lost a MAP sensor, but I don't know the circumstances.
