Ask in the 6.8 V10 forum. I had a V10, 2 of them. Stick with 5/20. I live way down south, so I used 5/30. No benefit to using 0w unless you live in a very cold area. It won't hurt though.
Posted in the wrong forum, but I don't have mod rights here to move it for you.
I ran 0w20 in my '00 V10 and never had an issue. You won't hurt anything with it, but you may not see much of a benefit unless you operate in colder weather.
Back when I changed my oil I always used 0W20 and never had an issue. My dad has been using 0W20 in his 2001 F150 since he's had it & I used 0W20 in it before I gave it to him. The truck will be 17 years old in October and has 140,000 miles on it today. It runs perfect and uses no oil.
I take mine to the Quick Lane at a local dealer and just tell them to give me the works. They use the synthetic blend. No need to run full synth if you are changing it every 5K miles.
