Intercooler installation problem

Hey guys, I'm having trouble getting my intercooler installed on my truck. The driver's side pipe is hitting my ac line, and I can't get either one to coexist happily.

E99 spyder and pipes, 6.0 intercooler

That's what I was afraid of. Just wanted to make sure there wasn't a super secret way to do the job before I started bending lines.

The ac line between the rubber and condenser is aluminum and bends very easy.

Just be VERY careful not to bend back and forth too much. Try to eyeball as much as you can and have a plan of where you want it to go, then bend it. Aluminum break easy when you go back and forth with it.

I bent mine a little and then put a piece of rubber between the ac line and IC pipe for a cushion.

Yep, I had to bend mine too. I also had to bend the power steering line a little to get it out of the way, and I had to cut and move the post coming off of the battery tray that holds the air box in place. If you have a 6637 and no air box, then just remove it. You can kind of see how mine fits in these pics... https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...l#post16599815

One more thing... What's the plug size for the big hole on the spyder?

It is either 1/4" or 3/8" NPT, can't remember for sure. I used the plug from the side of the water pump in mine. It's the same size. Plus I drilled and tapped the two hose fittings for 1/8" NPT; one got a plug and the other got my boost gauge.
